THE NEED

When this grand, private girls’ school set high on the mountain in Brisbane’s inner-west approached nextThursday seeking help to reposition their brand, we grabbed the opportunity with both hands. An inspired new principal armed with an aspiring new vision meant it was time for fresh strategic and creative thinking. Just the kind of magical brief we dream of.

IMMERSION AND EXPLORATION

Our agency process began with a thorough deep-dive into the Stuartholme brand and all that it offers. This included extensive discussions and collaboration with many stakeholders – the Executive team, staff, alumna, current parents, prospective parents and students. We left no stone unturned in our quest to understand what makes Stuartholme so special and what needs to change to help them thrive into the future.

A POWERFUL NEW POSITIONING

Our first creation was a bold new positioning line – Step up to Staurtholme.

It’s a line that encapsulates a new vision of transformative learning, spiritual growth and the drive for excellence shaping life at this unique Sacred Heart school. The line is a welcoming call-to-action, charged with active language and a healthy competitive spirit.

Step up empowers students, teachers and the broader school community to pursue ongoing personal improvement as a pathway to collective, positive change.

Born from the unique physicality of the school’s extraordinary mountain-top campus, Stuartholme is literally a Step up from the surrounding leafy green suburbs (and the competition!)

BEHAVING LIKE MARKET-LEADERS

A cornerstone of nextThursday’s new campaign was the attitude and confidence we injected into every piece of communication. Through our language, words and ideas, we communicated a determination and self-belief that our girls would some day rule the world. We set the bar high and challenged the girls to Step up to meet it.

CRAFTED WITH CARE

The agency over-invested untold hours to ensure every aspect of the campaign was beautifully crafted and perfectly presented. From bespoke typography, to intricate colourways and finely-tuned art direction. Why? Because the little things matter. That’s the difference between a good school… and a great school.

OPEN DAY

It would be hard to overstate the importance of Open Day to a private school in this hotlycontested market. nextThursday developed an efficient and effective creative rollout to maximise exposure of Stuartholme’s Open Day event, which in turn attracted record numbers of students and families to the school.

STEPPING UP TO SUCCESS

The Step up to Stuartholme campaign has been an unequivocal success for the school. It isn’t easy bringing so many stakeholders along for the ride and getting consensus on a creative vision for such a school. Our client assures us they couldn’t be happier with the results so far, and an ongoing positive shift in the culture and success of the school continues to build.
