10 Eagle Street is an iconic Brisbane business address. It’s a landmark building said to have been the cornerstone of Brisbane’s Golden Triangle.
Notably, the building is clad in distinctive golden coloured gold glass that literally reflects beams of gold light down on to the street.
However, it had been a long time since this icon had a meaningful refurbishment, and with an eye to this it had been purchased by Marquette Properties.
This class A building was to undergo a multi-million dollar rennovation featuring a new foyer, with a gold theme. New tenancies were to be built on the ground floor and the exterior pathways and building approaches were to get new landscaping.
Marquee Properties asked Next Thursday to help with a new brand identity and concepts to assist with the sales and leasing events.
While the name of the building is 10 Eagle St, the power of its colloquial name – The Gold Tower – made it our strong recommendation.
The strength of the colour gold and the lustre of the material itself inspired constructed typography.
Comprised of perfect circles and straight lines, the logo type was designed to portray the strength of gold. It used negative space to bring the concept of city towers to life.
We built a strong typographic language based on the fonts created from the logo.
We also included wayfinding concepts with some suited to flooring statements.
